Warsaw Experiences Massive Fire, Leaving 1400 Businesses Collapsed
A devastating fire in Poland's capital, Warsaw, has razed a shopping center with approximately 1400 stores to the ground. The blaze, which broke out at Marywilska 44 shopping center in the Bialoleka district in the wee hours of the morning,commanded the attention of over 240 firefighters. At one point, 99 vehicles from both the professional and volunteer fire departments were utilized.
Video footage from TVN24 captured the towering inferno engulfing the extensive facility. Miraculously, no injuries were reported. By the afternoon, the fire was under control, but the root cause remained a mystery.
A representative from the city administration informed the PAP news agency that the financial implications for the multitude of small traders who lost their means of livelihood in the fire would be hammered out on Monday. The majority of those affected were Vietnamese merchants.
