Tough announcement - Victoria Beckham banned Cara Delevingne from speaking because she was annoying
1994, 600 women attended a audition in London for the Spice Girls. It was the birth of the successful Girlband, consisting of members Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Victoria Beckham, who became world-famous. However, in 2001 they announced a band break, focusing on their solo careers instead. None of the five women managed to achieve such success individually as they did as a quintet.
2007 saw a Spice Girls reunion tour, after which the band only performed as a quartet at occasional appearances, Victoria Beckham was no longer part of it and focused on her career as a fashion designer. In an interview with a French magazine, she said: "I am so proud of what I achieved with the Spice Girls, but now it's about empowering people through fashion and beauty for me. There have always been rumors about tours and performances, but that won't happen. But I would love to celebrate with the girls in another way, just the two of us."
Victoria Beckham had no interest in talking to Cara Delevingne
However, the Spice Girls in their original formation still have fans and supporters, one of them being the famous model Cara Delevingne. In an interview with "The Times", the 31-year-old revealed that she once really got on Victoria Beckham's nerves in a Spice-Girls-fan moment.
Once, at Glastonbury Festival, Delevingne met Beckham and used the opportunity to ask about a Spice Girls reunion. Media reports suggest that Beckham in particular is hesitant about reviving the band. When asked about this, Beckham reacted angrily and told Delevingne: "Please stop talking to me about that."
A small reunion of the band actually happened recently. On Posh Spice's 50th birthday, the Spice Girls were lured into a booth for a photo as a quintet. Beckham's son Cruz handed over the phone and released the short clip on Instagram.
