Swapping Blossoms at RTL: The Punk Rock Love Hunt

The fresh season of RTL+'s dating series "The Bachelorette" is underway, with Munich resident Stella Stegmann leading the charge for her ideal match or matches. The 27-year-old bisexual will be the first "Bachelorette" to date a variety of genders throughout the series. After the first episode, she declared, "I'm completely smashed!"

Thai Love Speed Bunny

The episode began with Stella meeting men one-on-one in Classical Thai Speed Dating style. She also made her first cuts among the hopefuls and handed out flowers before the grand "Rose Night" event. An enigmatic, locked room in the contestants' villa hinted at this season's twist, as the five female competitors who will vie for Stella's affection this year will most likely reside there.

Introducing the Woo-Squad

A sneak preview of upcoming episodes hinted at potential complications: "Then the Woo-Squad shows up, with no life achievements to their names," a contestant grumbles. In episode two, now available on RTL+, the ladies join the fun.

RTL Has Been on a Love Quest for Over a Decade

"The Bachelorette" will now only be making its rounds on RTL+ instead of free TV, and it's bringing some major changes with it. Contestants won't be subjected to the elaborate, sometimes accidental comedy, and oftentimes cringe-worthy parade of small talk on the red carpet, since this year's introduction will be more spontaneous. Sometimes the candidates will arrive by jet ski, other times by quad, and we'll even see first dates in coffee shops and traditional tuk-tuks.

"And there's a smidgen of ghetto, refinement, and power. A fantasy fulfilled."

Stella's loved ones and friends sent voice messages praising her potential suitors, except for contestant Musty, who sent his own voice message: "A smidgen of ghetto, refinement, and power. A fantasy fulfilled: Musty is my name - and why would I tell you that? Well, I've known myself for three solid decades." And there's yet another cringe-worthy moment that "The Bachelorette" or "The Bachelor" introductions are famous for.

Despite Stella's excitement after the first episode, she expressed her hesitation towards the upcoming arrival of the Woo-Squad, mentioning, "I'm not going to take kindly to unaccomplished individuals disrupting my love hunt." During her voice message analysis session, Stella's friend criticized Musty's message, saying, "I'm not going to pretend his message wasn't a bit pompous and confusing."
