- Unreleased song by Udo Jürgens comes out

Udo Jürgens' previously unreleased song to be released in September. A track from the late musician's estate, titled "Als ich fortging," will be released on September 20, according to Sony Music and the Udo Jürgens Master AG. The song, recorded by Jürgens himself on piano and vocals, has been rearranged and produced by drummer and producer Curt Cress, who previously collaborated with Jürgens. The exact origin of the song is unknown, but it is said to evoke his music from the 1980s.

Born in Klagenfurt, Austria, in 1934 and passing away in Switzerland in 2014, Jürgens was one of the most renowned German-language songwriters of the 20th century. His greatest hits include "Griechischer Wein," "Siebzehn Jahr, blondes Haar," and "Ich war noch niemals in New York."

On what would have been his 90th birthday, September 30, an album featuring 90 of Jürgens' singles will be released, curated by his children Jenny and John. Throughout his career, Jürgens composed around 1,000 songs, released over 50 albums, and sold more than 105 million records.

The unreleased song from Udo Jürgens' estate, filled with nostalgia from his 1980s music, will be a delight for music enthusiasts. His vast musical legacy, encompassing over 1,000 songs and numerous albums, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
