Debut as a joined matrimonial entity

Uninvited individual gatecrashed Thomas Gottschalk's wedding ceremony.

Thomas and his spouse Karina, both veterans in the entertainment industry, graced Munich for their first public display as a married duo. With Thomas donning a sharp suit and bow tie, and Karina radiating elegance in a long silver gown with rugged shoulder pads, they showcased their union to the city they hold dear. In an interview with RTL, Thomas explained, "There were numerous ways to introduce Karina to the Munich society, but the opera holds a special place in our hearts."

At the Bavarian State Opera, they attended a stage dinner and shared tales of their low-key nuptials. The wedding took place on Ibiza on August 23, with only a select group in attendance. Karina, who opted for her husband's last name, expressed a preference for a small, intimate ceremony. "I've been a bridesmaid numerous times, and each occasion was stressful for the couple," she said. "I just wanted to enjoy every moment with Thomas, from start to finish, and that's achievable only with a private gathering."

A Furry Interruption

However, their special day wasn't without a little chaos. Karina shared an amusing anecdote about a feline incident that threatened to derail her grand entrance. "A cat came bursting out of a bush and got tangled in my train just as I was about to walk down the aisle," she chuckled. "I had to pause, untangle the cat, scare it back into the bush, and then finally make my way down the aisle – all ten minutes late!"

After sharing their intimate wedding story, Thomas and Karina, now celebrated as a celebrity couple, were looked upon with admiration by Munich society. At the opera, they fondly reminisced about their unique wedding day, filled with laughs and memorable mishaps, including the feline interruption during Karina's grand entrance.
