Everyone is feeling the grief. Jay Monahan from the PGA Tour expressed, "I can't find the words," adding, "We're mourning Grayson's loss and praying for his family." He also made contact with Murray's parents, conveying his deepest condolences.
Playing the tournament in his honor
The parents expressed a wish for the ongoing tournament to be played through to the end, which is what Grayson would've wanted. Monahan shared, "It'll be difficult, but we'll honor their request." On Friday, Murray had decided to withdraw from the tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. His fellow players showed their anguish on social media.
Murray had often spoken about his struggles with alcohol and mental health. After checking into a rehab clinic last year, he claimed to have quit drinking for good.
