Assault using machete. - Twelve-year-old boys convicted of homicide in the UK.

In a shocking development, two 12-year-olds have been found guilty of stabbing a man to death in England. The jury at a court in Nottingham concluded on Monday that the two boys had attacked a 19-year-old man with a machete in November 2023. This makes the two boys the youngest convicted murderers in Britain since the notorious James Bulger case over 30 years ago. The specific sentence has yet to be announced.

UK: A 42.5-cm machete did the fatality

The attack occurred in a park in Wolverhampton, near Birmingham, where the perpetrators assaulted the 19-year-old and his friend. While the friend managed to escape, the 19-year-old was kicked, punched, and stabbed by the boys. The fatal blow was a stab to the heart with a 42.5-centimeter-long machete. Throughout the lengthy trial, the defendants blamed each other. However, the jury finally determined that both were guilty.

The reason behind the crime never became clear during the trial. The victim and his friend ran into the two boys and a 12-year-old girl in the park. They had no prior acquaintance with each other. One of the defendants claimed that the later victim had asked them to hand over a bank. The prosecutor argued that there was no justification for the attack, as the 19-year-old had been peaceful.
