Forensic biologist Inga Ehrenberg (Anne Ratte-Polle) is so engrossed in her work at the Institute of Forensic Medicine that she doesn't realize how lonely she is after separating from her husband. It is only when her father (Jörg Gudzuhn) claims that she has a half-sister (Olga von Luckwald) and a falconer (Dennis Pörtner) asks her to take in a young falcon that she is caught up in a maelstrom of long-hidden, painful emotions. She begins to domesticate the falcon, firmly convinced that the bird will never leave her. At the same time, she has to deal with the discovery of a dead baby whose identity is unclear, and with two other cases.

Christmas is coming soon and the talented chefs will be whipping up Christmas dishes for the team cook-off. In the solo cook-off, guest judge Viktoria Fuchs has them create wintery spoon feasts with ingredients such as cinnamon, cardamom and star anise. In the final cook-off, the candidates are asked to deconstruct their favorite Christmas cookie and conjure up a new interpretation on the spoon.

Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) has been doing the job of Santa Claus for eight years, and the elves at the North Pole celebrate him as the best Santa they've ever had. But then problems arise: Scott's son Charlie (Eric Lloyd) is on the naughty list. What's more, Scott has overlooked the small print in his Santa contract: He has to get married within a month to keep his job as Santa.
