Trump's account features a video with Nazi language, sparking anger.

Donald Trump recently published a controversial video on his Truth Social platform, promoting the idea of a "united empire" if he wins the upcoming presidential election. This choice of words sparked a significant backlash, with critics accusing the former president of employing Nazi rhetoric. Trump's election team seems befuddled by the uproar.

A campaign video made by ex-President Donald Trump has shocked Americans: the video, shared on his Truth Social platform, promotes the notion of a "united Reich" for November's presidential elections. The term "Reich" is German and has previously been associated with Nazi Germany, known as the Third Reich.

The Biden campaign, unimpressed, swiftly criticized the language used in the 30-second clip. The video inquires, "What happens if Trump wins? What's next for America?" while displaying several headlines. Alongside the expected "Economy booming" and "Border is closed," the video also discusses the formation of a "united empire."

The spokesperson for Trump's campaign team, Karoline Leavitt, clarified that this wasn't an official campaign video. Instead, it originated from a different Truth Social user and was then re-shared by an employee of Trump's who had unknowingly watched the video.

James Singer, spokesperson for Biden's team, weighed in on the controversy. He asserted that Trump had used Nazi rhetoric in the past. "Trump is not playing coy," he said. "He's letting America know what he plans to do when he regains power: rule with an iron fist over a 'unified empire.'" In response, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre described the content distribution as "abhorrent, repulsive, and a disgrace." It referenced the German Nazi government led by Adolf Hitler.
