A presidential candidate's event in northern Mexico took a tragic turn when a stage collapsed, leading to the deaths of four individuals. Fifteen others sustained injuries, according to Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who cited information from the Nuevo León state governor, Samuel García.

The unfortunate incident occurred during an event hosted by candidate Jorge Ávarez Máynez in the city of San Pedro Garza. Ávarez himself confirmed his well-being and was in touch with the authorities.
