Tom Kaulitz loved being Heidi Klum's egg man
"Poor Tom!" That's probably what some people thought when they saw Tom Kaulitz at his wife Heidi Klum's Halloween party. Because while she shone in her pompous peacock costume, his disguise was perhaps not quite the yellow of the egg. But the musician disagrees.
All eyes on Heidi Klum: at her Halloween party last week in New York, Heidi Klum was once again the eye-catcher of the evening in her extravagant peacock costume. Her husband Tom Kaulitz didn't look quite as out of the ordinary, even though he literally mutated into an egg man that evening.
Had Klum forced her husband into the extremely uncomfortable guise of a peacock egg to complement her costume? This suspicion was expressed by some observers on social media, at least in retrospect. But that was not the case, the Tokio Hotel musician now states in his podcast with brother Bill Kaulitz.
"That's mega"
Bill Kaulitz begins by explaining that he has read many comments that say: "Poor Tom! What are they doing to him?" However, his brother then emphasized that he had not been forced to do anything. "That's the great thing about Halloween. I want to have a costume that no one else has. That isn't just wannabe-cool, scary or something. But also stupid. An egg is so cool and stupid that I thought: That's mega," explains the 34-year-old.
Bill Kaulitz immediately attests to his brother that many outsiders might not believe him "that you have a sense of humor. When people see you, they think you take yourself very seriously. I think you've shown a new side to yourself, a new image."
"Like a turtle"
Tom Kaulitz also takes the opportunity to talk about what he experienced in his bizarre costume during the Halloween party. For example, he retreated into his egg from time to time to drink, because: "The egg was so big that my hands couldn't reach my mouth."
Bill Kaulitz added: "The funniest thing was that your face always disappeared into the egg. And I was still wondering: What is he doing in the egg? You went back into your egg like a turtle, disappeared for a while and then came out again," says the Tokio Hotel singer.
His costume presented him with various hurdles and obstacles, Tom Kaulitz continues. As soon as he entered the party, he "bumped into everyone" because his voluminous costume bumped into and offended everyone. However, this was no reason for him to take off his costume. "Everyone always said, 'Why don't you get out of that egg? But I didn't take it off. I was in this egg costume all night. Because I thought, if I go out of this egg now, it won't make any sense at all, I'll just look like a white freak," says Tom Kaulitz.
Despite the initial impression that Heidi Klum forced Tom Kaulitz into an uncomfortable guise for her Halloween costume, the Tokio Hotel musician revealed in a podcast that he chose the egg costume himself. He found it to be "cool and stupid," fitting his desire for uniqueness on the spooky holiday.
Following Tom Kaulitz's memorable egg costume appearance at Heidi Klum's Halloween party, Heidi and Celebrity couple Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz became the talk of Entertainment news, with many expressing their admiration for Klum's peacock costume and Tom's commitment to his eccentric egg ensemble.
