Tom Cruise reportedly hooks up with oligarch ex
Hollywood star Tom Cruise has had quite a few exes in his life. But since separating from his third wife Katie Holmes eleven years ago, he has not officially had a partner by his side. Is that about to change?
Perhaps they are just friends and simply had a nice evening together. But if you believe alleged eyewitnesses quoted by the British "Daily Mail", then there is more going on between the two. "They were inseparable, clearly a couple," an informant is said to have told the newspaper. And further: "He seemed to be quite smitten with her."
We are talking about Tom Cruise and a certain Elsina Khayrova. According to the "Daily Mail", the two of them made a predominantly Russian party in London's posh Mayfair district unsafe on Saturday evening. The 36-year-old companion of the Hollywood star is therefore no stranger. She is said to be the daughter of a Russian MP and the ex-wife of an oligarch who is said to have made millions through diamond trading.
After the two appeared at the party at around 9 o'clock in the evening, they quickly attracted attention, it is said. "Cruise was very friendly - he was constantly asked for photos and politely declined," the Daily Mail quotes its alleged eyewitness as saying. "Eventually, even the DJ had to make an announcement in Russian that Mr. Cruise did not want to take photos."
Dancing the night away?
If the accounts are true, then the 61-year-old actor and Khayrova spent most of the time together on the dance floor. The two only left the event together in the early hours of the morning.
It is possible that this is just another love rumor, after Cruise was recently rumored to be flirting with singer Shakira or his "Mission: Impossible" film partner Hayley Atwell. But perhaps there is more to the story. If so, Khayrova would indeed be the first woman at Cruise's side since he split from Katie Holmes eleven years ago.
Fellow actress Holmes was the third wife at the side of the Hollywood star and well-known Scientologist. Cruise married actress Mimi Rogers for the first time in 1987. After the breakdown of this relationship, he married Nicole Kidman in 1990. However, this marriage also broke up shortly after the turn of the millennium. His marriage to Holmes lasted from 2006 to 2012.
