Film director Tim Burton was taken aback by the acclaim received by his quirky horror-comedy "Beetlejuice". Despite having a deep affection for the movie, Burton, at 66, couldn't fully comprehend its popularity, as mentioned during the Venice Film Festival.

In the 1988 offbeat horror comedy, renowned actor Michael Keaton donned the role of Beetlejuice, with his signature dark circle eyes and unkempt hair. Beetlejuice transformed into an enduring symbol in popular culture. Keaton, now 72, reflected, "It's incredibly uncommon to be a part of something that can unequivocally be labelled as 100% original and distinctive."

Screening tonight at the 81st Venice Film Festival is "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice". Apart from Keaton, cast member Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara make a comeback. Ortega from "Wednesday" portrays Lydia's daughter, with Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe also appearing in the film.

Lydia Deetz (Ryder), who was haunted by Beetlejuice earlier, continues to grapple with him after three decades. Tragedy strikes the Deetz family, leading to their reunion at the house where it all began. And sure enough, fresh havoc isn't far behind.

People flocked to the 81st Venice Film Festival to witness the return of Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara in "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice." Over the years, the original "Beetlejuice" has remained a beloved icon among the public.
