Til Schweiger - Three glittering parties for your 60th birthday?

The turbulent year 2023 is likely to have chiseled a few more furrows into Til Schweiger 's (60) imposing character face. Nevertheless, he recently claimed to be completely at peace with himself, even after the numerous headlines about his misconduct on film sets and his "alcohol confession".

In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper , he said: "I've always been at peace with myself. Even when I've screwed up. I've always told my children that it's okay to make mistakes." The important thing is to take responsibility for your mistakes, apologize and not blame others for them.

Germany's most successful actor and filmmaker celebrates his 60th birthday today, December 19.

Three great parties for his 60th birthday?

With the good feeling of having done everything right in the end, even with his mistakes, he can now approach his birthday parties shortly before the end of the year. As he revealed to Stern magazine, he already celebrated his last birthday twice and is now planning to go one better. "That was so awesome", says Schweiger, "that I'm now thinking about celebrating my 60th birthday three times".

In any case, food and drink are provided

Conveniently, he doesn't have to worry about finding a suitable catering service or choosing the wines. In addition to his multifaceted activities in the film business, he has also built up an impressive empire in numerous other business areas in recent years, including several restaurants and his own wine label called "From Grape Til Wine".

As befits the pronounced family man Til Schweiger, his wine creations naturally bear the names of his daughters. At the festivities, a fruity "Lilli Rosato" is therefore likely to be rushing down the throats of his guests alongside a sparkling "Luna Marie Chardonnay" and a powerful "Emma Primitivo".

Schweiger makes it easy for his guests

He also makes it very easy for guests to find a suitable gift for him. In his online store "Barefoot Living" (claim: "Live Til's style"), you can find everything the birthday boy likes, namely products that impress with a "mixture of the casual style of the East Coast, the simple design of Scandinavia and the warmth of Mallorca".

If in doubt, guests who can't make it home after too much "Emma Primitivo" can be accommodated in one of Schweiger's "Barefoot" hotels or take a trip down the Danube in his excursion boat "Barefoot Boat by Til Schweiger" to sober up.

The impressive business acumen of the multi-talented Til Schweiger even landed him on the cover of "Manager Magazin" in 2017, which took an in-depth look at the "idiosyncratic business model of the bad boy of the film industry" in its lead story. According to him, money is not that important to him.

"Money has never been a driving force for me"

"Money has never been a driving force for me," he asserted in Die Welt, saying that he doesn't need "an expensive watch or expensive clothes" to be happy. In addition to having a nice home, it is important to him that his children are doing well and that he can pay for their education, for example. "And that I can give something to friends who aren't doing so well."

His ex-wife Dana Schweiger (55) also confirmed this statement in the newspaper: "He doesn't have a wallet at all, he carries money loosely in his trouser pocket. He needs almost nothing for himself. His haircut costs less than ten euros. But he donates very generously."

"Getting older is the only way to live longer"

For this charitable reason alone, it is more than desirable that Schweiger can continue to pursue his film and lifestyle business with youthful vigor for many years to come. He personally has no fear of getting old, he told the Frankfurter Neue Presse some time ago, as getting older is "the only way to live longer". For him, the following still applies: "Growing old is not so bad if you manage to keep the child in you."
