Selfcare - Three beauty tips for pampering moments
While the snow outside creates a wintery Christmas atmosphere, your own four walls are simply the coziest. Not having to go outside and spending the day snuggled up on the sofa at home is the perfect opportunity to take plenty of time to perform little beauty rituals. With these three simple beauty tips, you can enjoy relaxing self-care moments during the cold season.
Beauty self-care tip 1: Soothing manicure for beautiful nails
You only need a few things for a soothing manicure at home. First, fill a bowl with warm water and add a few drops of mild shampoo or olive oil. Soak your hands in the water for around five to ten minutes to soften the nails and cuticles. Then gently push back the cuticles and file the nails into the desired shape.
The manicure is rounded off with a nourishing hand cream. This should be massaged well into the nails and hands so that it provides optimum moisture. This simple ritual not only gives the nails a well-groomed appearance, but also has an extremely relaxing effect.
Beauty self-care tip 2: Moisturizing face mask
A moisturizing face mask can be easily made with natural ingredients from the kitchen. To do this, mix a tablespoon of honey with a tablespoon of Greek yogurt and a teaspoon of olive oil. Apply this mixture evenly to a cleansed face and leave it on for around 15 to 20 minutes. The honey has a moisturizing effect, the yoghurt soothes the skin and the olive oil intensively nourishes. After the application time, rinse off the mask with lukewarm water. Your skin should feel noticeably fresher and smoother afterwards.
Beauty self-care tip 3: A relaxing bath followed by exfoliation
A relaxing bath combined with a scrub pampers body and mind. First fill the bathtub with warm water. A few drops of lavender essential oil can then be added to the bath water to create a calming atmosphere. Candlelight and soft music further enhance the feel-good factor in the bathroom.
After the bath, a homemade sugar scrub can make your body feel even better. You can make your own scrub in advance by mixing sugar with coconut oil (or an existing body oil). The scrub is gently massaged into damp skin after bathing to remove dead skin cells. The scrub is then rinsed off in the shower with lukewarm water. The skin should not only be silky smooth afterwards, but also pampered by the relaxing bath. A soothing time-out for body and soul!
