Thomas Ohrner falls in love on the S-Bahn

He once sold his laughter as "Timm Thaler". At the moment, however, Thomas Ohrner probably has a broad grin on his lips. After all, he is newly in love. Now he reveals how he actually met his new partner.

Actor and radio presenter Thomas Ohrner has a new woman by his side. "We've been together for over a year now and are very happy," the 58-year-old enthuses about his partner Anne Arnholdt in an interview with the magazine "Gala".

He was not looking for a new love, explains the former child star. He saw the time after separating from his long-time wife Marion Ohrner as an opportunity to refocus and do things he hadn't done before. The two were married for 23 years and have four children together.

Not least

He finally met his new love on the S-Bahn, Thomas Ohrner reveals. "You still had to wear a mask, but I had forgotten to put mine on. She asked me if I was a vaccination refuser. I thought that was a very humorous introduction," the presenter recalls of his first meeting with the 50-year-old.

"We are serious"

The couple only made their love public at the end of November. "We took our time, you don't have to be on the red carpet together after two months," says Thomas Ohrner. Over time, the couple realized more and more how well they fit together. "For us it feels permanent, we're serious about it. I didn't want to play hide-and-seek," says Thomas Ohrner.

Born in Munich in 1965, the actor first appeared in front of the camera as a small child. He became famous throughout Germany for his portrayal of the title character in the TV series "Timm Thaler", which was filmed between 1979 and 1980. Many people who grew up in the 1980s will also remember the series "Manni, der Libero" (1982), in which he also played the main character.

Even as an adult, Ohrner still occasionally appeared in front of the camera for film and television productions, for example for the series "Herzklopfen" (1993 to 1995) and "Verbotene Liebe" (2008 to 2010) or the remake "Timm Thaler oder das verkaufte Lachen" by director Andreas Dresen, in which he took on a supporting role in 2017. He has also tried his hand at television as a show host in the past. He has also worked for various radio stations such as "Klassik Radio".
