This referenced vehicle, named Nevera R, boasts an impressive horsepower exceeding 2000.
In the realm of electric super sports cars, a new champion has emerged. At the Carweek event in Monterey, California, Rimac, the Croatian sports car manufacturer, unveiled its latest creation - the Nevera R. This new offering marks an R-version upgrade to its existing electric hyper-GT, the Nevera.
The R variant showcases an enhanced power output, clocking in at 1571 kW or 2136 PS, a significant boost from the standard 1406 kW or 1912 PS. Undoubtedly, this vehicle's speed is astounding: zipping from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.74 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and achieves the 300 km/h mark in an impressive 8.7 seconds. The top speed has been capped at 350 km/h, though it can temporarily be pushed up to an exhilarating 412 km/h, all under factory supervision.
Precision and control, optimized brakes
Though the R shares similar sprint times with the standard Nevera, Rimac guarantees improved handling with an enhanced torque-vectoring system between the electric motors mounted on each wheel. For superior performance, the 108-kWh battery and carbon-ceramic brakes have been upgraded, while the traction control has been fine-tuned, the steering refined, and the drift mode adjusted to work with the new "Cup 2" tires from Michelin.
The R version boasts an aesthetically pleasing, aerodynamically optimized front design, updated carbon fiber accents, and a fixed rear wing, as well as a new diffuser to generate increased downforce.
As for the Nevera R's pricing, Rimac has not disclosed any information just yet. With the standard Nevera priced at around 2.5 million euros, it's safe to assume the R version will sit atop its class. To produce no more than 40 examples of the Nevera R, Rimac will be meticulously handcrafting each vehicle to perfection.
The following enhancements have been made to the Nevera R for improved performance: the steering has been refined, traction control has been fine-tuned, and the drift mode has been adjusted to work with the new tires. The following feature differentiates the R variant from the standard Nevera: it can temporarily reach an exhilarating 412 km/h under factory supervision, beyond its capped top speed of 350 km/h.
