Keanu Reeves - Thinking about death is positive

It's no wonder that many photos exist where Keanu Reeves looks sad, you might think (keyword "Sad Keanu"): The actor often thinks about death. He just mentioned this in an interview with "BBC News". After all, he is already 59 years old, so he thinks about it constantly.

But for the "Matrix" star, the persistent presence of death in his mind has nothing negative. "I hope it's not limiting, I hope it sensitizes us for the breath we have, and the relationships we can have," he said.

Keanu Reeves' first novel about a god who wants to die

The publication of Keanu Reeves' first novel provided the impetus for pondering death. The book is about an immortal warrior who wants to die. "The Book of Elsewhere" will be available in the English-speaking world starting July 23rd.

Reeves wrote the novel in collaboration with British Sci-Fi author China Mieville (51). His influence on the work is downplayed by the actor. "I didn't write a novel," he told BBC. "China wrote a novel." He just contributed.

"The Book of Elsewhere" takes place in the world of "BRZRKR," Keanu Reeves' successful comic series. "BRZRKR" (pronounced Berzerker) is about the immortal demigod B, who fights through the centuries. The character, drawn by Ron Garney, bears a striking resemblance to Reeves, as one knows him from the "John Wick" films.

Apart from the novel adaptation, there is also said to be an animated series and a film in the works, which Keanu Reeves might even direct himself.

Keanu Reeves mentioned his collaboration on a novel titled "The Book of Elsewhere" during an interview with BBC, where he shared that British Sci-Fi author China Mieville mostly wrote the book. The novel revolves around an immortal warrior who desires to die and is set in the world of Reeves' successful comic series, "BRZRKR."

Roman Dirniak, a Polish artist, has created a unique interpretation of Keanu Reeves as the character B from "BRZRKR," drawing comparisons between the comic character and the actor's portrayal in the "John Wick" films.

Fans of the "John Wick" franchise and Keanu Reeves' comic series may look forward to the potential animated series and film adaptations, as rumors suggest that Reeves himself might direct these projects.
