Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan - They speak out with a strong message
Prince Harry (39) and Duchess Meghan (42) have spoken out with a new video. It also contains a strong message from the royal dropouts: "We are committed to a simple but profound mission: Show up, do good."
The video can be seen onthe website of the couple'scharitable Archewell Foundation. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex founded the foundation after they stepped down as working members of the British royal family in 2020 and moved to the USA. Along with the video, the organization has now also published a report listing where the foundation has done good in recent months. It covers charity projects that Archewell has supported, as well as events that Harry and Meghan have attended themselves.
Charity competition for Princess Kate?
In the one-minute clip, Meghan can be seen together with members of the military, while in another excerpt, the Sussexes make surprise calls to young scholarship recipients. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan can also be seen visiting a school in Brooklyn, at another appearance in New York and Meghan packing gift bags for a charity that supports expectant mothers.
Even if the Sussexes put their charitable commitment in the foreground, there are apparently critical voices in Prince Harry's British homeland. The Daily Mail highlights the fact that Harry and Meghan published their video just a few hours after a clip showing Princess Kate (41) doing charity work with her children. This is likely to cause a stir in royal circles, according to the paper. In Kate's video, the wife of Prince William (41) can be seen selecting gifts for disadvantaged children from donations in kind together with the couple's three children, Prince Louis (5), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince George (10).
According to media reports, the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry, the two sons of King Charles (75), is said to have broken down. Following their move to the USA, Meghan and Harry have repeatedly attacked the royal family in interviews, a Netflix documentary and Harry's autobiography "Reserve".
