Janni Hönscheid and Peer Kusmagk - They now live in Denmark
Ex-Professional surfer Janni Hoenscheid (33) and moderator Peer Kusmagk (49) have experienced many changes in their eight-year relationship. After spending some time in Berlin and Potsdam, they have lived in various accommodations on Mallorca since the end of 2021 but never really felt at home there. Now they have bought a house in Denmark and have moved in after renovations. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the couple, who have three children.
Early in the year, the family viewed several houses in the northern region. Janni Hoenscheid announced in her Instagram story at the time that the future was uncertain: "If we really find a house that appeals to us, it could all happen quite quickly. But even then, we haven't decided yet whether it will only be a summer house and we will travel in the winter, or if we will completely renovate it. Everything is open and we are excited."
She took care of the children, he renovated
The well-known TV couple actually found a suitable property in the countryside. In recent months, Peer Kusmagk has put the property in order with the help of family and friends. He renewed the floors, painted the walls, installed a new balcony railing, and created a light-filled yoga room under the roof. Janni kept the followers informed during this time. She took care of the three children on the island of Fehmarn and at other stops, allowing the former jungle king to focus on preparing the home for the family as quickly as possible. Now she has also traveled with the children to Denmark and moved into the house a few days ago.
On the spacious estate with a large garden and tall trees, there are still many more projects waiting. Some sheep have recently moved in, and a long fence needs to be built for them. An old spiral staircase, which comes from their wedding location Heiligenhafen, is currently still being worked on.
The family did not feel well on Mallorca anymore - not least because of a mold problem in their apartment. The family had already moved several times on the island since their emigration in 2021 because the living situations did not fit. At first, they lived in a rented finca without heating and with frequent power outages. In trees, processionary caterpillars had settled. They had also tried different accommodations in Germany, from a house with a garden to a 80-square-meter apartment. Berlin and Potsdam then attracted them because surfing professional Hoenscheid missed the proximity to the water in the cities. Now it seems that the family has arrived. The 33-year-old announced on Instagram that she feels very well in her Danish owned home.
They met in a reality show in 2016
The couple met in 2016 in the third season of the RTL reality show "Adam sucht Eva - Stranded in Paradise." A year later, they got married. Their first child, Emil Ocean, was born in early August 2017. Daughter Yoko was born in July 2019, and their third child, Merlin, was born in September 2021.
