Jackman played on their first meeting at the event, as he revealed in his speech. Jackman met Feige during casting for the first "X-Men" film in 2000. At the time, Feige worked as a production assistant and drove Jackman to the airport after the audition. He insisted that the actor have something to eat before his flight.
