After Joe Biden (81) withdrew from the race for the US Presidency in 2024, his deputy Kamala Harris (59) is now the focus of the Democrats as their new front-runner. She has announced that she will run herself and is now not only supported by Biden and Democratic top politicians but also by voices from the celebrity world publicly. If she wins in November, Kamala Harris would be the first woman at the helm of the USA.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton (76), who lost the election to Donald Trump in 2016, expressed her solidarity for Harris on social media. On Instagram, Clinton wrote about a joint photo with her colleague: "I have known Kamala Harris for a long time. This brilliant prosecutor will run against the convicted felon Donald Trump and the agenda of Project 2025, which takes away our freedoms. But she can't do it alone. Will you be part of this historic campaign?"

Singer Katy Perry (39) posted a short video on Instagram about her new single "Woman's World" in response to Biden's announcement: "It's a woman's world and you can be happy living in it." She captioned it: "There you have it. That's the title." In her story, she also reposted a post with Kamala Harris' new song playing in the background.

Singer Ariana Grande (31) showed her support for Kamala Harris as a presidential candidate on her social media channels. She reposted in her Instagram story Biden's post about his decision to support Harris and added a link for US citizens to register to vote.
