Theresa Fischer has concluded her surgical procedures on the legs.
In 2019, the 14th season of "Germany's next Topmodel" (GNTM) saw Simone Kowalski emerge victorious. But it's contestant Theresia Fischer, who placed 11th, who gained more attention. This wasn't due to Fischer's modeling aptitude, but rather her unconventional beauty surgeries.
Fischer started her surgical journey in 2016, seeking to lengthen her legs - a result of school bullies making her feel small. She explained that in this type of surgery, the thigh bones are cut open from within, and telescopic rods are inserted on both sides, which gradually extend by a millimeter each day.
However, the surgeries didn't stop there. Fischer also underwent procedures on her lower legs, citing difficulties with certain sexual positions and lack of flexibility in bed as reasons.
She now stands at 1.84 meters
The surgeries were not without complications and intense pain. Doctors operated on Fischer's legs a total of eight times before removing the extension rods and screws from her lower legs in late June. The procedure, it seems, has finally come to an end. Fischer now stands at 1.84 meters, taller than her original height of 1.70 meters.
Fischer couldn't contain her joy when interviewed by Bild newspaper at a recent event in Hamburg. "I must say, I'm much more flexible and graceful now - even in bed. Because the proportions are balanced," she shared.
She also expressed her relief, stating "I'm just glad I've finally put this behind me. That I have legs that I can walk properly on again. That I can now flip the bird at him, because he no longer has the representative he always wanted: a tall model woman by his side."
Fischer's ex, documentary filmmaker Thomas Behrend, is whom she accused of pressuring her into undergoing leg-lengthening surgery. Fischer and the 28-year-older Behrend symbolically married on live TV during the GNTM 2019 finale, before officially tying the knot the next day at the registry office. However, they separated in 2022. Today, Fischer is in a relationship with a dentist named Stefan, who, just like Behrend, is 26 years older.
Theresia Fischer's unique journey in the 14th season of "Germany's next Topmodel" garnered attention despite her 11th place finish, with her unconventional beauty surgeries becoming the main focus. After undergoing several procedures, Fischer's height increased, allowing her to experience improved flexibility and newfound confidence in her daily life.
