"He will be returning to Delaware to self-isolate," Jean-Pierre added. The White House will continue to provide updates on the President's condition, "during his isolation, he will continue to fulfill all of his duties as President."
For X, Biden himself stated in a statement: "I tested positive for Covid-19 today afternoon, but I feel good and thank you all for your well wishes. I will be isolating during my recovery and will continue to work from home to get the job done for the American people." The President is withdrawing to his private residence in Rehoboth, Delaware, for this purpose.
According to a statement from his doctor, Biden's symptoms of Covid-19 include respiratory issues, a runny nose, and coughing. The President has received his first dose of Paxlovid, a medication for Covid-19 treatment. A PCR test is still pending.
