Exciting times for Gymnastics World Champion Lukas Dauser (30): At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the current Athlete of the Year is one of the biggest gold hopes for the German team. And privately, things are also running smoothly: His wife Victoria (28) is pregnant. The first common child of the two is expected to be born approximately in September. They revealed this in an interview with the magazine "Bunte".

When they found out in January that they were going to be parents, Vicky, as Dauser calls his wife, cried with joy, Dauser reveals. "And Lukas had barely stopped grinning," adds his wife. "Being parents soon is the biggest thing for us. A life dream is coming true, after our dream wedding, children are part of our plan to be complete."

The athlete and the dentist have been a couple since 2013 and have been married since 2023. She gave up her sports career for her profession and studied Dentistry. Dauser became German champion in 2016 and 2017 in the individual category, and in 2021 he became German champion three times. In addition, he won Gold in the Turn-Worldcup in 2015 and 2023 on the Parallel Bars. At the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp, he also won Gold on the Parallel Bars. The Paris Games are the third Olympic Games for Dauser: In 2016, he qualified for the final in the Team Competition in Rio de Janeiro, in 2021 he won the Silver Medal on the Parallel Bars and reached the final in the Team Competition again. In November 2021, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (68), and in 2023 he was named Athlete of the Year.
