Former racing driver Ralf Schumacher (49) showed himself with his partner for the first time on Instagram on Sunday evening (14th July) and thus officially declared his love for a man. "The most beautiful thing in life is having the right partner by your side, with whom you can share everything", Schumacher wrote under a photo that shows him with his partner looking at the sunset.

Schumacher is now being celebrated on the net for his coming-out. In less than 24 hours, the post already received over 250,000 likes and over 15,000 comments. In addition, many famous friends such as Carmen (59), Robert Geiss (60), Moderator Marlene Lufen (53), Natascha Ochsenknecht (59) and others wrote loving words to the former Formula-1 driver. The LGBTQIA+ community also welcomes Schumacher with open words.

Wishes come from Moderator Marco Schreyl (50), who writes: "Shared love is double love." Singer Eloy de Jong (51) commented: "Love is love, no matter what others say." Actor Jannik Schümann (31) commented with a heart and a rainbow emoji, Moderator Jochen Schropp (45) did the same. "Under us"-Star Lars Steinhöfel (38) wrote: "It feels so liberating! All the best wishes." Julian F. M. Stoeckel (37) commented with the words "We are happy for YOU" and heart emojis.

"Prince Charming" contestant Sam Dylan (33) celebrated Schumacher's coming-out in an Instagram story. There he shared Schumacher's post and wrote: "Ralf Schumacher has found his dreamMAN. I knew it for years and never thought you would make the step and publicly come out. But love wins in the end."
