- The jungle retreat encounters its regal strangler.
Georgina Triumphed and Triumphed: The Contestant Georgina Fleur, Constantly Underestimated by Her Competitors, Emerged Victorious in RTL's Summer Jungle Camp Edition. In the Episode Published on Saturday on the RTL+ Streaming Service, the 34-Year-Old Resident of Dubai and Former "Bachelor" Candidate Overcame Her Final Opponent, Kader Loth (51), in an Epic and Brutal Duel. Georgina Displayed Her Resilience by Consuming Mouse Tails and Impala Eyes, Choking so Severely at Times that Spectators Had to Avert Their Gaze. But She Emerged Victorious, Ultimately Receiving a Crown and a 100,000 Euro Prize.
Georgina's victory was evident. "I was always considered just a little bit inferior," she complained about her fellow campers. A few days prior, she had also cried, feeling underestimated ("They're driving me crazy in the morning. They're so erratic!"). Her reputation preceded her, tarnished by unfortunate appearances in other formats, and she was perceived as somewhat spoiled and fragile. Both perceptions are likely to change following her heroic choking exhibitions in the jungle.
Gigi Communicates with His Lower Half
At the start of the finale, the five remaining campers were reduced to three through mutual nomination. The axe fell on former Viva moderator Mola Adebisi (51) and former model Sarah Knappik (37), especially bitter for Adebisi, who had previously attempted to appear as the show's mastermind.
This left the victory to be decided between Georgina, fan favorite Gigi Birofio (25), and reality TV queen Kader Loth. However, one might have thought a fourth personality was still by the campfire, as Gigi engaged in several apparent conversations with his lower body. He lifted the blanket, looked down, and whispered, "Wait till tomorrow. Chill till tomorrow."
She's Truly a Machine
Gigi criticized this behavior in his two remaining competitors. Georgina had spent half the jungle in her bed "sleeping" and Kader had "chilled" a lot. His conclusion seemed to be that no one deserved the victory more than himself. This may also have been an emotional relic from the previous episode, where the 25-year-old surprisingly managed to pass a knowledge quiz (Georgina, incidentally, answered the question about which literary character was raised by apes and fell in love with American Jane Porter with the curious answer "Godzilla").
However, this ambitious man was soon "shaved off," as Kader Loth put it. In a game where the goal was to estimate the duration of six minutes as accurately as possible, Gigi failed. Kader Loth on Gigi's counting mistake: "Gigi had too many women in his life. He stopped counting at some point." She analyzed her competitor Georgina with these wise words: "She's truly a machine, isn't she? In female form."
It was a bit sad, yet it had an air of joyous finality. "We're embarking on our final journey," she announced. "Are you aware of that?" Which had an unintended meta-level to it. The special squad was made up of candidates who had already stayed in the Jungle Camp in the past 20 years of the show. A third appearance for these "legends" is hard to imagine, though not impossible. Therefore, Loth also mentioned that she needed the prize money for her retirement. Georgina, on the other hand, said she wanted to use it for her daughter. As a single mother, she could certainly use the sum.
Not Unemployed at All!
At the same time, the two women emphasized that their mysterious industry of reality TV regulars was not just a joke. "Look how hard we earn our money here. Nobody believes it!" Loth said. "People think we're unemployed out there." Georgina agreed: "And they assume we're not doing anything. We're not working." For a moment, one might have thought one was witnessing a trade union founding meeting.
It all culminated in a final test where, typically for the show, various disgusting things had to be eaten. Loth had no chance, despite begging moderator Jan Köppen like a bank advisor that it was about 100,000 euros. Georgina, however, consumed mouse tails (with the incredulous question: "Can you eat this?"), fermented eggs, impala eyes, and finally chicken innards. Yes, she truly consumed them. At times, she held her hand in front of her mouth so nothing would come back out.
The 34-year-old born in Heidelberg had shown before that she could be very tough. Between her first appearance in the Jungle in 2013, where she only reached sixth place, and the Summer Staffel in 2024, there were worlds apart. Georgina seemed a bit more stable, a little more balanced, at least a bit more thoughtful. That's the kind of hero's journey that the Jungle Camp regularly rewards.
Will there be another "Legends" Jungle?
By the way, completely different rules applied this time. Not the viewers decided on the fate of the inmates, but the campers themselves had to fight out who could stay by the campfire. This resulted in a partly completely different dramaturgy. RTL had recorded the Staffel and not broadcast it live. Moderator Sonja Zietlow (56) hinted that there might be another "Legends Staffel" (official title: "I'm a Star – Showdown of the Jungle Legends").
Despite the outcome, it appears the finalists fared well in the end. Gigi, known for her diverse camp behavior from broadcasted flatulence to everyday musings, expressed, "I believe: The victory isn't the finest aspect, but instead, something truly unique." This unique aspect, she mentioned, was "recognition."
People were surprised by Georgina's resilience and determination during the competition. Despite being perceived as fragile in the past, she proved herself to be a formidable opponent.
The campers had underestimated Georgina's strength and capability, but her performances in the jungle changed their perception.
