Julian Weigl - The footballer will soon be a father of two
Footballer Julian Weigl (28) and his wife Sarah Richmond (26) are to become parents for the second time. The couple announced the news in a joint video on Instagram.
In the black-and-white video, the Gladbach professional, his wife and their daughter Bruna Marie (2) uncover their hands one by one - until an ultrasound image is finally revealed. "Another blessing is on the way," the couple comment on the post, adding the hashtag "Baby 2024".
Numerous congratulations have already been posted under the video. Among others, Ann-Kathrin Götze (34), who herself became a mother for the second time a few weeks ago, offers her congratulations. "Congratulations," writes the wife of footballer Mario Götze (31). Weigl's soccer club also took the opportunity to congratulate her.
They fell in love in their youth
The former international and the presenter have been a couple since 2011. They married in 2020 and their first daughter was born a year later. In an interview with Gala in 2019, Richmond said of her partner: "He would love to have lots of children and can't wait to get started. But I think three would be enough."
