The European Union allocates 2 billion euros for Syrian refugees.
The European Union is set to give more than 2 billion euros to assist refugees in war-torn Syria, as per EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell in a conference held in Brussels. Meanwhile, the EU does not appear to be planning on returning Syrian refugees to their home country any time soon, as Borrell mentions the ongoing instability as a reason for this.
Borrell emphasized the need to continue working towards a resolution for the ongoing conflict, stating, "We need to step up our effort to find a political solution to this crisis." The Syrian public deserves the chance of a tranquil and democratic future.
Since 2011, a civil war has engulfed Syria, resulting in millions fleeing the nation and some of these individuals arriving in Germany. Despite this, President Bashar al-Assad remains in control of the country.

The EU's commitment to assist Syrian refugees doesn't seem to include a return plan in the near future, given the ongoing instability in Syria, as mentioned by EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell. Moreover, the EU has earmarked an additional billion euros, bringing the total allocation to 3 billion euros, to help these refugees.
