Bruce Springsteen - The 'Boss' is now a billionaire.
With 74 years old, he still goes on tour and performs three-hour shows. Bruce Springsteen is a workhorse. In roughly six decades, the "Born in the U.S.A." cult musician has amassed a significant fortune: The American business magazine "Forbes" currently estimates this at 1.1 billion Dollars.
He only sold his music catalog to Sony Music in 2021, earning 500 million Dollars for his life's work. The representatives of Springsteen have not confirmed the Forbes estimation (up to July 19).
Alone in 2023, he generated 380 million Dollars in revenue
In 2023, Springsteen's world tour sold over 1.6 million concert tickets and generated 380 million Dollars in revenue. Throughout his career, the three-time father led the music charts with 21 studio albums, seven live albums, and five EPs, and sold over 140 million albums worldwide. His memoirs "Born to Run" topped the "New York Times" bestseller lists. After 236 sold-out Broadway performances, 20 Grammys, an Oscar, two Golden Globes, and a special Tony Award, he has earned a place in both the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" and the "Songwriters Hall of Fame."
Does the musician overwork himself?
Bruce Springsteen first revealed to his fans via Instagram in May that he had to cancel his tour again because, after consulting with a medical team, he was advised "not to perform for the next ten days." A few months earlier, in September 2022, he rescheduled all remaining concerts for the year 2023 to 2024, as he was recovering from a stomach ulcer. Currently, Springsteen & E Street Band are touring through Norway and England. Concerts are planned until the middle of 2025.
The "Forbes" magazine continues to recognize Bruce Springsteen's financial success, recently reaffirming his estimated net worth of 1.1 billion Dollars. Despite canceling some tour dates due to health advisories, Springsteen's concert series with the Springsteen & E Street Band is still set to generate revenue until mid-2025, further showcasing his impact in the music industry, as seen in his three-hour-long shows.
