Kristina and Marc Dumitru are the individuals in question. - The baby has arrived.
Actor Marc Dumitru (37) and actress Kristina Schmidt (34) are now a family of three after welcoming a baby boy. Kristina shared the joyful news on her Instagram page and the series' account, writing, "What lasts a long time is finally good - and it's better than anything. We're now a family of three and incredibly happy." Marc proudly posted a photo of himself, smiling as he pushed their son in a stroller down the street.
Fellow cast members, including Nadine Menz (34) and Sila Sahin (38), congratulated the couple in the comments.
Dumitru shares birth experience
While the Dumitrus haven't revealed their baby's name, Marc shared a few details about the birth with RTL. First and foremost, "My wife and our little one are doing well, and we're over the moon," he said. "We're so grateful that he's finally here and couldn't be happier as a family of three."
But the birth was not without its challenges, according to Dumitru: "[Kristina] went into labor with a lot of trust and had to muster even more strength than expected - where she got that from, I'm not sure." He continued, "It was incredible to witness that."
Now, the newly formed family is focusing on getting to know each other again and giving Kristina some rest.
Dumitrus met on "Das Haus Anubis"
Marc Dumitru and Kristina Schmidt, who still uses her maiden name, met in 2009 while filming the youth series "Das Haus Anubis." After the show ended in 2012, they went their separate ways in their careers. He stayed in acting, appearing in "Nachtschwestern" and taking on the role of Kilian Reichenbach in "Alles was zählt" since 2022. Kristina, however, left acting to study elementary school teaching from 2012 to 2018. They celebrated their dream wedding in the year of her graduation.
