- That's why she has a blue eye.
US Actress Sharon Stone (66) shocked her fans this week by posting a photo on Instagram from her Turkey vacation showing her with a deep, bloodshot left eye. The 66-year-old took it in stride, joking, "This trip was tough, but I'm tougher." She didn't reveal how she got the black eye initially, but now she has.
How Sharon Stone Got Her Black Eye
"I know you're all wondering how I got a black eye. So, I'll explain," Stone says in a new Instagram video, sitting poolside with a straw hat and sunglasses. She's been staying in many hotels in different countries over the past few weeks. In one hotel, she got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and couldn't remember where she was.
"I face-planted onto the marble floor. No one did anything to me," Stone clarifies. "I'm fine and having a great time." She's also on the mend, she explains, and jokes, "You should see what I did to that marble floor." She thanks her fans, saying, "Thanks for caring about me. I care about you too."
Family Vacation with Son Laird
Sharon Stone has been traveling through Europe with her family for several weeks, seemingly on a last big family trip with son Laird (19) before he heads to college. "Last trip before college," Stone wrote on Friday (2 August) under a photo of her and the 19-year-old cuddling a kitten on the beach. A few days earlier, she shared a joint photo from the Italian capital, Rome. Before that, the actress visited French Cannes and Sicilian Taormina, among other places.
"Despite the incident with the black eye, Sharon Stone's love for travel continues, as seen in her recent Instagram post from Rome, reminiscent of the iconic scene in 'Basic Instinct'."
"After a grueling day of sightseeing in Rome, Sharon Stone decided to unwind with a classic movie marathon, including her own film 'Basic Instinct'."
