- Terrorism alerts for Taylor Swift concerts: third suspect arrested

Following the cancellation of Taylor Swift's concerts in Vienna, another person has been arrested. An 18-year-old man from Iraq has been detained, according to Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner. The suspect is believed to have sworn allegiance to the Islamic State. He was reportedly in the vicinity of the 19-year-old main suspect, but there is no indication of direct involvement in the attack plans.

Suspects in Vienna claim allegiance to IS

Meanwhile, the Public Prosecutor's Office has applied for the detention of the two arrested terror suspects. The Regional Court of Wiener Neustadt is expected to decide on the imposition of detention later this afternoon.

The suspects are being investigated for membership in a terrorist organization and a criminal organization. They are accused of having ties to the terrorist network Islamic State (IS) and supporting its goals and intentions, a spokesperson for the Public Prosecutor's Office told the Austrian Press Agency (APA).

Tens of thousands of Taylor Swift fans disappointed by cancellation

The 19-year-old was reportedly planning an attack near the stadium where US superstar Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform in front of over 60,000 spectators. Her three Vienna concerts this week were cancelled for security reasons, leaving tens of thousands of Swift fans deeply disappointed.

The second detainee is 17 years old and was working as a stage and scaffolding builder at the Swift concert stadium. He is a friend of the 19-year-old. A 15-year-old was questioned as a witness and not detained. He is said to have incriminated the 19-year-old.

In light of the terrorist warnings, the Austrian authorities have initiated stringent measures. The Public Prosecutor's Office has sought custody for both arrested terror suspects, with allegations of their involvement in a terrorist organization and support for the Islamic State.

The terrorism warning has also led to the cancellation of Taylor Swift's concerts in Vienna, causing immense disappointment among her fans.
