Ten-year-old endeavors to save sister from harm, nearly losing his own life.
In September of 2022, a young boy fell off a cliff in Brighton, England, and suffered serious injuries. Initially thought to be an accident, the authorities later claimed that this was an attempt at murder. The boy was trying to prevent his sister from being abused.
Currently, there's a court case unfolding in Great Britain that's left the country reeling with shock. A man of 54 years old is being charged with the rape and sexual assault of a girl under the age of 13, the attempted murder of a boy, and cruelty to a child.
At the Oxford Crown Court, the man is being accused of pushing a 10-year-old boy off the cliffs in Brighton. Newspapers in Britain have reported eyewitness testimonies, claiming that they heard a scream and then saw a "small figure fall, as if it was thrown off the cliff". The boy hoped to stop the man from continuing to rape his sister.
During the trial, the court was informed that the boy somehow survived the 30-meter fall. He was rushed to a hospital in London via helicopter due to the extensive trauma he sustained. At first, the fall in September 2022 was believed to be an accident, partly because the defendant claimed that he had warned the boy to stay away from the edge. However, due to the intense impact trauma, the boy couldn't recall the incident.
A vile plot to end interference?
The prosecution claims that the accused aimed to eliminate the boy so that he couldn't prevent the abuse of his sister anymore. "The defendant coerced a girl under the age of 13 into having sexual contact with him, even though he knew it was wrong. The boy tried to intervene. Without the knowledge of the boy's mother, the defendant then took him to Brighton and in particular to the cliffs. That afternoon, the boy fell 30 feet from the cliff edge onto the concrete below the sidewalk. The defendant attempted to murder him by pushing him off the cliff." The man had previously contemplated murdering the boy in a quarry.
According to the prosecution, the accused had once shared with his psychiatrist that he intended to 'marry' the boy's sister. After his arrest in May 2023, a lawyer read out a statement from the defendant, in which he stated: "I am not attracted to children sexually and have not tried to have or incite sexual activities with children." He then refused to answer any further questions.
