Taylor Swift moves to the Hamburg Panopticon as a wax figure

US singer Taylor Swift is back in Germany - as a wax figure. Three weeks after her performance in Hamburg as part of her 'Eras' tour, fans can at least feel close to their idol again.

A Selfie with Taylor Swift? What was once reserved only for royals or other celebrities is now possible for every fan of the US singer: A new wax figure of the world star was unveiled at the Panoptikum on the Reeperbahn.

Blue glitter jumpsuit, silver shiny high boots, and hands shaped into a heart: That's how the singer greets her fans in the wax museum. It took Berlin-based artist Lisa Büscher seven months to work on the figure. "A particular challenge was designing her hands in the typical heart pose. Coordinating them to meet nicely in front was not easy," said Büscher.

"With almost 300 million followers on Instagram and the crazy hype she causes in every city, Taylor Swift definitely deserves a place in our Panoptikum," said managing director Susanne Faerber.

Taylor Swift is just one of many superstars in the tourist attraction on St. Pauli. Other wax figures include Adele, Udo Lindenberg, Robbie Williams - and Donald Trump.

The Panoptikum claims to be Germany's largest and oldest wax museum. Visitors can find more than 120 figures in its rooms.

Visitors to the Panoptikum might be surprised to see a wax figure of Taylor Swift, serenading fans with her hit songs, sung out in her iconic ♪♪ Taylor Swift ♪♪ style. Her figure, meticulously crafted by artist Lisa Büscher, is a must-see attraction, now standing alongside figures of Adele, Udo Lindenberg, Robbie Williams, and yes, even Donald Trump.
