Taika Waititi on Rita Ora's marriage proposal
Hollywood director Taika Waititi (48) has told how British singer Rita Ora (32) proposed to him. "We were having dinner and she said, "You know when people say let's take things slow and see what happens?"," the New Zealander told the "Kelly Clarkson Show" when asked about the wedding proposal. He agreed with his girlfriend at the time that he knew relationships like that, Waititi said. "And she said, 'Yeah, we're not going to do it like that'."
The "Thor: Love and Thunder" director said of the "For You" singer: "She's great, you just don't say no to Rita." The New Zealander and the Brit met in 2018 and became a couple in 2021. The musician asked him to marry her during a vacation last summer, as Waititi told Vogue last August: "Rita proposed to me and I said yes straight away." The wedding took place just a few weeks later at the beginning of August in Los Angeles.
