Princess Diana - Swimsuit with leo print makes a comeback

It is currently celebrating a comeback on our screens in the Netflix series "The Crown". Now the famous leopard-print Gottex swimsuit worn by Princess Diana (1961-1997) is temporarily available to buy again. Diana was photographed by paparazzi in the eye-catching one-piece swimsuit in July 1997 on a yacht where she was on vacation with her partner Dodi Al-Fayed (1955-1997). The swimsuit had been specially made for Diana at the time. According to the company's website, the princess had met with Israeli fashion designer Lea Gottlieb (1918-2012), the founder of Gottex, for this purpose.

"Diana" swimsuit is available in two versions

The swimsuit with animal print is now available again for the equivalent of around 150 euros. Gottex has launched a limited edition of the legendary swimsuit. The garment from the"Diana" collection is available in two versions - one with a halterneck design like the original version and one with a V-neck and conventional straps.

At the beginning of the sixth season of "The Crown", Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki (33), who plays Princess Diana, was seen wearing the leo swimsuit by Gottex. The first part of the series finale has been available to watch since November 16. In the first four episodes, the Netflix series sheds light on the relationship between Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed (Khalid Abdalla, 42), her fatal accident in Paris and its consequences.

This is how "The Crown" continues

According to the streaming service, the other episodes (from December 14) of the series, the last season of which deals with the life of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) and her family from 1997 to 2005, will be about this: Following the death of his mother, Prince William (Ed McVey) tries to readjust to life at Eton "while the monarchy's reputation is severely tarnished in the court of public opinion". On the occasion of her Golden Jubilee, the Queen (Imelda Staunton, 67) considers the future of the monarchy.
