Upcoming summer, Oasis embarks on a tour across Great Britain and Ireland. Whispers of a prospective global tour also circulate.

Swiftly selling out within a day, the much-anticipated Oasis revival tour.

The announcement of the Gallagher brothers reuniting for a concert series after years of rivalry has sparked enthusiasm among Oasis followers. In just a few days, every one of the 15 performances was snapped up. Unfortunate fans are now advised of scammers circulating.

The reunion concerts of the acclaimed Britpop ensemble Oasis in the UK and Ireland are already sold out. After a day of frenzied ticket requests, online platform crashes, and extended queue times, all tickets for the 15 scheduled events were officially depleted by Saturday evening, as shared on social media by the group. Again, the band cautioned fans about the sale of duplicated and invalid tickets on the secondary market.

For countless Oasis admirers, the day concluded with anticipation in front of computer and smartphone screens. Tens of thousands of them spent hours queuing online before eventually obtaining their shot at purchasing tickets. At times, sales platforms malfunctioned or became inaccessible, and several fans voiced their displeasure on social media about how prices had surged beyond the double mark due to high demand, and that they were unexpectedly booted out of the queue right after waiting for extended periods.

Long queues for fans

"Today is going to be the day of missing out on tickets," voiced one user, drawing allegory from Oasis' popular song "Wonderwall." Another user joked, "Of course, there are half a million people ahead of me in the Oasis ticket queue, I'm quite hopeful!" Others joked that the band had disbanded once more while they were queueing up.

Following a 15-year hiatus, Liam (51) and Noel Gallagher (57) declared on Tuesday that they would collaborate once more for a summer tour in 2023. "The wait is over," they announced. Interest in the band skyrocketed, with Oasis streams in Germany quadrupling within a day of the announcement, according to GfK Entertainment.

Oasis is acknowledged as one of the most successful bands in British music history, with hits like "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger," and "Supersonic" being the epitome of the 1990s music. They gained recognition in 1994 with their debut album "Definitely Maybe," which they later reissued for its 30th anniversary, featuring bonus tracks and alternative versions of the songs.

Years of brotherly feud

In the summer of 2009, the band disbanded owing to an intense argument between Noel and his younger brother Liam, who was the lead vocalist. Noel announced that he could no longer work with Liam, and the brothers continued to pursue solo careers, engaging in a public feud for years.

Now, the Gallaghers plan to bury their hatchets and perform together in a 15-show tour in the UK and two shows in Ireland, starting in Cardiff, Wales on July 4 and 5, followed by five shows each in the band's hometown of Manchester and London's Wembley Stadium, three shows in Edinburgh, and a closing show in Dublin.

According to the BBC, a total of 1.4 million tickets were available for the 17 outdoor events. Tickets for the reunion tour started at 86.50 euros for a seating area, with standing tickets priced at the minimum of 175 euros. The band warned against the unauthorized selling of concert tickets at inflated rates. Several websites were touting tickets at multiple times the original price, even up to thousands of euros.

It's uncertain whether disappointed Oasis fans might eventually have the chance to witness the band live. Sky News reported that a major sales platform showed a message post the official announcement of sell-out: "No Oasis tickets are currently available. Please keep checking back as additional tickets may be released." It remains unclear whether this refers to resale tickets or a new batch of tickets. Theories continue to swirl about a potential world tour, including the United States.

The reunion concerts of the iconic Pop music band Oasis have seen an unprecedented demand, with all tickets for the UK and Ireland tour sold out within days. Fans are now advised to be cautious of ticket scammers trying to sell duplicated or invalid tickets on the secondary market.
