Swift throws birthday party in New York
Taylor Swift is the pop star of the moment. It goes without saying that she also celebrates her 34th birthday in style. However, her boyfriend Travis Kelce was not spotted at the party in New York. Instead of partying, training is on the agenda for him.
Taylor Swift had a whole host of reasons to celebrate in 2023. Not only did she break records with her music, she was also recently named "Person of the Year" by Time magazine. But just before the year draws to a close, the singer also had a private occasion to pop the champagne corks: Swift celebrated her 34th birthday on Wednesday
The party was held in a New York nightclub. Swift arrived at the location hand in hand with her good friend, actress Blake Lively. However, one person was missing from the evening: Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce.
But that was apparently no problem for the birthday girl. She shone alongside her celebrity friend, which was also due to the singer's outfit: she wore a glittering black mini dress that featured a jeweled night sky at the front and side. As reported by "People" magazine, the dress by fashion brand Clio Peppiatt costs 2335 dollars (around 2140 euros). Swift teamed it with black platform heels, a glittering silver handbag and her signature red lipstick.
Nightclub well filled
Lively also opted for a black look: The former "Gossip Girl" star wore a leather dress with spaghetti straps and knee-high boots by Christian Louboutin. The stylish duo were on the other side of the Atlantic together just two weeks ago: on November 30, the women attended the London premiere of Beyoncé's "Renaissance" film.
Blake Lively was of course not the only party guest at the birthday celebration. Taylor Swift is known for her large circle of friends. Accordingly, The Box nightclub filled up quickly. Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce, however, stayed in Kansas City, Missouri. According to the New York Post, the sportsman missed his sweetheart's party due to his Kansas City Chiefs team's mandatory football training session.
However, the couple had spent a few nice moments together in the days leading up to their birthday. On Sunday, for example, they celebrated together in good spirits at the after-party of the game against the Buffalo Bills, despite Kelce's team suffering a defeat. Swift and Kelce publicly confirmed their relationship in September.
