Annika Kärsten-Hoenig - Sweet declaration of love to ailing Heinz Hoenig
Annika Kärsten-Hoenig (39) continues to fight for her husband Heinz Hoenig (72)'s life. The seriously ill actor is waiting in a hospital for a life-saving operation. Now, Annika reminded Instagram of a memorable moment for the couple and gave a defiant message: "Six years ago, we kissed for the first time," she wrote. "Six weeks later, we were engaged and have been together ever since."
Like Bonnie and Clyde
At this moment, times are particularly hard for the two. Heinz Hoenig has been in the hospital since early May. "We have started this journey together and will never give up," the post continues, to which Kärsten-Hoenig posted a picture of herself and her husband. In the picture, they are seen from behind, arm in arm. They wear T-shirts in a partner look, reminiscent of a jersey with the numbers 6 and 9 on the back. Hers bears the name "Bonnie" and his has "Clyde".
They would continue their way together "Hand in Hand and Step by Step" towards their goal, Kärsten-Hoenig wrote defiantly. "And that means: one day, as a united family, we will be able to go home." The couple has been married since 2019 and has two children together.
Concerns for Heinz Hoenig
Heinz Hoenig was admitted to the hospital in a life-threatening condition in early May. In addition to a bacterial infection, a hole in his esophagus was discovered, which had to be repaired in the first operation. However, a life-saving operation on the aorta, where the bacterial infection had spread and damaged a previously implanted stent, is still pending. Since the actor is not insured, donations are being called for to cover the costs of treatment.
In a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Annika Kärsten-Hoenig recalled the moment she declared her love for Heinz Hoenig, sharing that six years ago, they shared their first kiss and became engaged shortly after. Despite the ongoing challenges, Annika and Heinz, dressed as Bonnie and Clyde in a partner T-shirt, remain resilient, vowing to face their journey hand in hand and step by step, towards the day they can return home as a united family.
