During the chaos at the Solingen Fronhof, an aggressor went on a rampage, killing three individuals and severely wounding five others. Suzan Köcher, a musician performing with her band "Susan Köcher's Suprafon," was near the stage at this 650-year city celebration. The festivities were disrupted by the attack on the Friday evening. The incident unfolded right before the musicians' feet on the stage. In an interview with stern, Köcher shared her experience.
She describes moments of confusion as people began to scatter. "Initially, I had no idea why everybody was leaving." She thought it might be a scuffle. "Then I heard shrieks, and I realized we needed to find shelter instantly. I tossed my guitar aside and hid behind the drums."

Köcher recalls lying as flat as she could, unsure if the assailant was armed with a firearm. She didn't directly see the attack. With time, the musician began to comprehend the situation unfolding in front of her. "A woman screamed for a medic – I have vaguely remembered attempting to resuscitate numerous people."
There's an image that continues to haunt her: a cover underneath which a body resided. "Beneath it, there was a lifeless individual – directly in front of the stage. It's all beyond comprehension and incredibly tragic. I'm deeply saddened." The entire atmosphere shifted drastically. "We were dancing with our audience, following the flow. Instantly, lives were lost." Köchter sent her thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.
Other attendees also fled the venue, seeking safety wherever they could find it. In the aftermath, various eyewitnesses shared their accounts of the horrifying event.
