Alexander Bommes had a handball career with clubs such as TSV Altenholz, TSV Bayer Dormagen, and VfL Gummersbach in the first and second leagues simultaneously. He also studied law and worked part-time as a sports reporter for the NDR. Since 2011, he's been part of the "Sportschau" moderation team. He has also hosted the "NDR Quizshow," the talk show "Tietjen and Bommes," or the "Hamburg Journal." Since 2012, he's been hosting the popular game show "Gefragt - Gejagt," which has been broadcast on the First since 2015 in the prime time slot.
