Television - Stefan Raab's new show idea for RTL: "Eltons 12"
Entertainment-Genie Stefan Raab has discovered a new Saturday evening show for RTL with Elton, named "Eltons 12". The unique aspect of the new show is that all 12 prominent candidates are connected by something special, RTL announced on Thursday.
In total, there will be six episodes where 12 prominent contestants, both male and female, compete against each other in games. "The challenges range from delicate crafting tasks to challenging mental puzzles, all the way to breathtaking sports competitions on a large playing field," explained an RTL spokesperson. "We're looking for all-rounders and not just specialists. The right finesse, the best strategy, and above all, a strong competitive spirit lead to victory."
All those who participate share a unique commonality - for example, a TV format, a profession, or a passion. "As a group, they are connected, but in the game, they are individual fighters," so RTL.
The prominent players duel against each other 1 vs 1 in two rounds plus a final, and only the winners progress. In the final, the best three then compete against each other. Whoever wins that evening receives a prize money of 100,000 Euro in the end. The commentary for the new show will be provided by Frank "Buschi" Buschmann.
Elton commented on the idea: "This show has everything we love about action game shows. Nerve-wracking tension, sweat and pain! And the best part is, I don't have to participate - I'm just happy to be moderating the madness."
The production of "Eltons 12" is set to begin, according to the announcement, with broadcast planned for the Winter 2024/25 season. Elton - formerly one of the faces of ProSieben - will be seen in several RTL shows this year, including the entertainment format "Schlag den Besten".
