Regina Halmich reveals Stefan Raab's "big secret"

Two and a half months have passed since Stefan Raab dropped a bombshell: Nine years after his departure from the television screens, he is returning to the spotlight, not with a friendly wink from the TV studio, but by stepping back into the ring against former boxing world champion Regina Halmich, who has already defeated him twice.
The show sensation of the year will take place on September 14th in Düsseldorf. We also know that RTL and RTL will broadcast the fight on television. But since his spectacular comeback announcement in early April, Raab has gone quiet. Just as suddenly as he appeared on the mat, he has disappeared again.
Halmich has not seen Raab since she agreed to fight him again in 2001 and 2007. "I have no idea if we'll meet before the fight," the 47-year-old said in an interview with radio station Antenne Bayern.
"He enjoys it"
Although she has spoken to Raab on the phone, Halmich will likely only meet him in the ring. "First, because Stefan is afraid that we'll be seen together. He doesn't want that at all. And second, I think a big secret will be made of it: How does he look? He enjoys that."
Halmich also shared her feelings about the fight. She hesitated for three weeks after receiving the request. "At some point, I thought: Okay, I'll do it again. I had a kind of craving for it." Her former trainer Thorsten Schmitz encouraged her. "He said: 'Regina, there's still a lot there. I believe you can do it again'", so Halmich.
Will she be back in the taste?
Halmich expressed concern that she might be rekindled by the encounter with Raab. "That's the downside: The old fighter Regina has been awakened," Halmich explained and added: "I have to stop after September 14th. The boxing gloves are hanging on the nail, because the danger that I might want to fight again is just too great, and that's really difficult right now."
Perhaps friend Doro Pesch can keep an eye on her. The metal singer will accompany Halmich to the boxing ring in Düsseldorf. Raab, however, is unlikely to stop her. Or does anyone really believe that he will miss the fun of boxing for Raab?
