"Star Wars" star Rosario Dawson becomes a grandma
Rosario Dawson normally doesn't talk much about her private life in public. However, it is well known that she has an adopted daughter. And Dawson makes no secret of the fact that she is now expecting a child. This means that she will be a grandmother at the age of just 44.
Hollywood star Rosario Dawson is preparing to become a grandmother soon. In an interview with the US portal "Page Six", she reveals that her daughter Isabella is expecting her first child. The baby is due to be born next year.
"It's very exciting," enthuses the actress in the interview. She would like to be called "Glamma" by her grandchild later on.
Dawson adopted 21-year-old Isabella in 2014. At the time, the girl was eleven years old. In an interview with Health magazine in 2021, the actress explained that she had not contacted an adoption agency or adoption center. She had known Isabella's birth mother and learned that the child had been placed in foster care. For her, there was no question of adopting Isabella.
"The most incredible thing"
Motherhood was "the most incredible thing" for her, Dawson revealed in an interview with People magazine back in 2018. "Especially having a child at this age," she added.
Such insights into Dawson's private life are rare. The actress keeps Isabella out of the public eye for the most part. She only occasionally appears on the red carpet with her daughter, posting a picture on Instagram every now and then.
As little as is known about Dawson's life away from the camera, we do of course know a lot about her work before that. She began her acting career as a teenager in the film "Kids" (1995). This was soon followed by further appearances in blockbusters such as "Men in Black 2" (2002), "Sin City" (2005) and Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" (2007). Most recently, she was seen in various "Star Wars" series as Jedi Ahsoka Tano.
