- Star on the Walk of Fame with family
Vince Vaughn (54) is thrilled to have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but he's even more thrilled about his family who accompanied him to the ceremony on Monday. His wife Kyla Weber was by his side, along with their two children, daughter Locklyn (13) and son Vernon (11). Vaughn's parents and two sisters were also present, according to media reports.
"My beautiful wife Kyla, I'm so glad you're here now, I'm so grateful for you and these wonderful children and for all the laughter we share," said Vince Vaughn as his star was unveiled. "As much as this means to me," the actor said about the honor, "Vernon and Locklyn, you must know that you are the most important thing in the world to me."
His children may not be as "lucrative" as being a Hollywood star and may not grant him access to the things that come with that, but, "Nevertheless, you are the most important and I love you very much. It's great to have you both here."
"Being a parent is a great joy"
The "Wedding Crashers" star, who often played eternal bachelors in the early stages of his career, has often spoken about the joys of fatherhood. "Being a parent is a great joy," Vaughn said in an interview with the "New York Times" earlier this month.
Vince Vaughn is not often seen with his family on the red carpet. It has to be a special occasion, like in 2015 when the star left his handprints at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. And now, at this even greater honor on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"Vince Vaughn expressed his gratitude towards his wife Kyla and their children during his speech at the ceremony, stating that they are the most important people in his world."
"In an interview, Vince Vaughn highlighted the joy he finds in being a father, stating that it is a great privilege."
