Stallone was ashamed of his children for a while

According to action star Sylvester Stallone ("Rocky"), he suffered from enormous self-doubt when he was unable to get a job for years in the early 2000s. "I felt so useless," the 77-year-old told his daughters Sophia (27) and Sistine (25) on their podcast "Unwaxed". "I was so ashamed to be your father."

The actor, who enjoyed great success in the 1970s and 1980s with the "Rocky" and "Rambo" films, among others, had a pretty bad time around 20 years ago, as he told his daughters. "I thought I was finished for good. The phone didn't ring," said Stallone. "You didn't even know what I did for a living." His daughters recalled that Stallone watched movies all day during this time.

Stallone finally made his comeback with the fourth film in the "Rocky" series in 2006. He also believes that his difficult phase of life made him more sensitive and "a much better actor", according to Stallone.

Despite his struggles, Sylvester Stallone continued to be a movie enthusiast, often watching films throughout his difficult period. In a heartfelt conversation with his daughters Sophia and Sistine on their podcast "Unwaxed", Stallone expressed his love for movies, saying, "Even during my low times, people like you and your mother introduced me to new films, and I found so much joy in them."
