Reality TV - St. Moritz, Botox and breast surgeries: The "Real Housewives of Munich" are coming

Bling-Bling and Bussi-Bussi: The successful show "The Real Housewives" gets a German version from Munich. "The Real Housewives of Munich" had its world premiere in the Bavarian state capital on a Thursday evening. The series tells the story of six wealthy Munich women and shows what they want to reveal about their luxurious lives. The main themes are the clichés of Bussi-Bussi society in general: short trips to St. Moritz, Botox, breast ops, shopping tours on the Maximilianstraße, champagne parties at one of the ladies' homes, and a little mischief. A central statement: "In Munich, they don't talk about money - they just give it out."

Shopping at Käfer, Shopping on the Maximilianstraße

The show is set to start on RTL+ on July 6. The broadcaster announced in advance: "The global reality hit is finally coming to Germany." Six episodes are planned, each focusing on different events. In the first episodes, there will be shopping at Käfer, dining at a Munich Noble Asian, or a diamond party at one of the ladies' homes. Money is not an issue.

The series aims to provide an exclusive look into the lives of Munich's most glamorous High Society ladies, according to the RTL statement. "Glamour, fashion, and great luxury are in focus – the lives of the extravagant protagonists are never boring." All of them - between 31 and 46 years old - are described as "charismatic, extroverted, and entertaining – and of course extremely wealthy."

These are the "Real Housewives of Munich"

The six women at the center of the Munich reality show are mother and businesswoman Carina (33), former business consultants Lili (38), real estate experts Seher (38) and Natalie (37), "performance worker" Pegah (31), and designer Joana (46).

Even during filming, things didn't always go smoothly between the six women, as the protagonists hinted at during the premiere: "There has to be a little fight, too," said Natalie. And although the women emphasized "We understand each other very well," only five of them were already definitively signed up for a possible second season. Joana kept quiet on the stage. We'll have to see how it all develops.

Even Duchess Meghan spoke about the format

Since the start of the first edition of "The Real Housewives" in Orange County, USA, almost 20 years ago, according to RTL statements, there have been 28 adaptations worldwide in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa. A particularly successful variant, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has already completed its 13th season. Among some of these staffels, Yolanda Hadid, mother of the model sisters Bella and Gigi, also participated.

Even Duchess Meghan spoke about the format once. She declined an offer from the show's producer, Andy Cohen, in her podcast.

Transparency note: The star is part of RTL Germany.

The women's shopping spree at Kafer often includes high-end designer clothing. The Maximilianstraße, famous for its luxury stores, is a regular destination for their shopping trips in Munich. Despite their wealth, some of the women prefer to keep their botox treatments discreet. The bustling city of Munich provides a perfect backdrop for the glamorous lives of the Real Housewives, with St. Moritz serving as a popular destination for their short getaways. The series is not just about luxury and wealth; it also delves into the women's personal relationships, revealing intriguing dynamics among them. During filming, minor disagreements between the women occasionally sparked, as hinted by Natalie during the premiere.
