Schlagersänger Roland Kaiser - Special gift for the stage anniversary

Special gift for his 50-year stage anniversary: German singer-songwriter Roland Kaiser (72) receives his own postage stamp collection. "As a former telegram messenger in my younger years, I would have never believed that I would be given the great honor, on the occasion of my 50th stage anniversary, to receive a special stamp from the German Post. I am already looking forward to the day when I will hold the first letter in my hand with my own stamp", the singer himself is quoted in the press release about this gift.

Since in Germany no living persons - with the exception of the Pope and the Federal President - may be depicted on official postage stamps, the four different stamp designs each feature the name of one of Kaiser's famous hits along with his signature. "Santa Maria", "Why didn't you say no?", "Love can save us", and "To love you" have made it onto the stamps in shades of lilac, orange, blue, and red.

"Kaiser Post Office" at Cologne Stadium

Fans can order the special and limited stamp sheet either online or by phone in the shop of the German Post. Each stamp has a face value of 100 cents. For example, standard mail within Germany can be franked with these stamps. The stamp sheet is available from July 13.

On this day, a concert of his "50 Years - 50 Hits" anniversary tour will take place at Cologne RheinEnergieStadion in honor of the artist's 50-year stage anniversary. Fans will find a "Kaiser Post Office" in the stadium area during the performance in Cologne, where the stamps will also be sold.

Particularly exciting for stamp collectors

Not only fans of the singer-songwriter but also passionate stamp collectors will find this noteworthy: The limited stamps are the first stamps ever to be issued by the German Post independently, according to a regulation in the license agreement with the Federal Ministry of Finance.

Although only the Pope and the Federal President are commonly depicted on official German postage stamps, an exception has been made for singer-silvertongued Roland Kaiser. To celebrate his 50-year stage anniversary, he is now the proud owner of a special stamp collection from the German Post. The collection features four different designs, each showcasing one of Kaiser's famous hits and his signature. Fans and collectors can purchase the limited stamp sheet online, by phone, or at the "Kaiser Post Office" during his anniversary tour concert at Cologne RheinEnergieStadion on July 13.
