Following his severe accident involving a BMX-E-bike in Los Angeles, Pax Jolie-Pitt (20), the adopted son of actress Angelina Jolie (49) and Brad Pitt (60), is reportedly on the mend. A source told US magazine "People" that the 20-year-old has been discharged from the intensive care unit.

Pax has a 'long road to recovery' ahead

It's said that Pax has suffered a complex trauma and faces a 'long road to recovery and physical therapy'. Actress Angelina Jolie, who was by her son's side during his hospital stay, is 'deeply grateful for the swift and life-saving intervention of first responders and the excellent medical care he received'.

Jolie continues to be by her son's side, with support also coming from his five siblings - Maddox (22), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and Knox and Vivienne (both 16) - who have visited and helped him.

Pax Jolie-Pitt was admitted to the hospital on Monday, July 29. According to "TMZ", the accident occurred around 5 PM local time on the Los Feliz Boulevard, a busy LA street. The 20-year-old was reportedly not wearing a helmet when he collided with the rear of a car at a red light. He suffered a head injury and hip pain, according to the report.
